Julian Astle
Julian joined CentreForum as Director in October 2005 after working for the Foreign Office, the Department for International Development and the Ministry of Defence. From 2000 to 2004, he worked abroad, first for the United Nations in Kosovo, and then as Paddy Ashdown’s political advisor in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Julian had previously held a number of posts in the House of Commons where he worked as political advisor to Paddy Ashdown MP, as Health & Welfare advisor to the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Party, and as research assistant to both Archy Kirkwood MP and Nick Harvey MP.
