Anthony Rowlands won an Open Scholarship to Oxford University and later attended Cambridge and London Universities. In 2000 he was appointed Director of the Centre for Reform. He has stood for Parliament in St Albans (1997) and for his native Isle of Wight (2005). Anthony has been a Councillor on St Albans District Council for 19 years and is currently cabinet member for Community Engagement and Support. He was a member of Hertfordshire County Council from 1993-7. A lifelong supporter of Burnley FC, he enjoys running in his spare time and has completed 12 London Marathons (so far!).
