28 November 2011
- Joachim Spatz, FDP member of the German Bundestag
- Stephen Gilbert MP, Member of the UK delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly
- Kees Homan, Former Director of the Netherlands Defence College
- Mette Eilstrup-Sangiovanni, Lecturer in International Studies, University of Cambridge
Joachim Spatz, Stephen Gilbert MP, Kees Homan and Mette Eilstrup-Sangiovanni were invited to discuss the future of European multilateralism in NATO. How will this affect the balance of power between Europe and its transatlantic allies? As attitudes and spending change within Europe and diverge from America, can NATO really survive as a 'two-tiered alliance'?
